Turn Your Dreams Into Money: How to Build a Six-figure Blog and Live the Life You Want course review.
If you’ve never heard of Money Blogger Emma Drew, have you been living under a log?
She previously blogged under the name From Aldi to Harrods but recently rebranded to Emma Drew.
I’ve been following Emma for years and in the summer Emma kindly gave me the opportunity to review her course Turn Your Dreams Into Money: How to Build a Six-figure Blog and Live the Life You Want.
Now, I know what you’re thinking.
How does Blogging make you money and why aren’t you rich Humaira?
My answer is because I didn’t find the right niche that makes me excited and fills a gap in the market.
To blog for profit, you need to write about a topic you feel passionate about and one that will make you money.
Despite doing many expensive courses including Elite Blogging Academy which cost me over $324 at the time in 2015, this has now gone up to $797 at the time of writing.
I’ve never come across a blogging course like this one, and I would have happily paid for it simply because of the breadth of information available for the ridiculous price.
After reading through the entire course, it inspired me to start a new blog focusing on Money Saving and Money Making, which turned into Money Savvy Muslim!
I loved blogging at Humairak but I was trying to be everyone and not focusing on a niche.
I noticed after doing the exercises in this course that:
A) I was paying too much running 2 blogs on Squarespace and what I was paying for 1 month, now covers 3 blogs on SiteGround for 3 months
B) I wasn’t enjoying talking about Beauty, but I can never run out of topics to Make or Save Money!
SO WHAT DOES THE COURSE COVER?
There are 22 modules in total with submodules going into more depth.
Emma doesn’t skimp on anything, and other students have had a lot of success when applying the course principles to their blogs.
The thing that impressed me most was that it’s not just for beginners, more pro bloggers will find some amazing tips that they can use to improve their posts.
As for me, I’m working my way slowly through the course, building up my content before I move past module 2, and it will take me maybe a year or more before I can say I’m done with the course because of the sheer amount of information Emma shares.
WHY SHOULD I DO THIS COURSE?
In my lifetime as a blogger, I’d estimate I’ve spent over £1,000 on various blogging courses and nothing has impressed me as much as this.
I’ve been blogging for nearly 17 years on and off, and in that time the landscape has changed so much.
It’s no longer about updating once in a while about your personal life and pictures of your cats (unless you run a cat blog!)
Now people expect blogs to provide useful content they can share with their friends, that’s what makes a good blog that can be profitable.
If you’re thinking of blogging for profit, you can’t just start a WordPress.com free blog and expect the sponsorships to come in.
Emma’s course talks about setting up your own space, creating kick-ass content and then focusing on each social media channel individually to make you relevant to your audience so they share your content.
AND BEST OF ALL, YOU GET ACCESS TO A SUPER SUPPORTIVE MASTERMIND FACEBOOK GROUP FULL OF OTHER BLOGGERS WHO ARE ON THE SAME JOURNEY!
OK HUMAIRA, SHOW ME THE MONEY!
The course retails for £197.
